June 15, 2015 - The first of a series of free clinics on how to obtain a criminal record expunction will be held at 4 p.m. June 16 at the West Dallas Multipurpose Community Center, 2828 Fish Trap Road. The clinic, which will become a monthly event, is offered by the Dallas Volunteer Attorney program, a joint project of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas. The service is available for low-income residents. The clinic will explain how a criminal arrest, charge or conviction may be removed from public records, enabling the person to say they do not have a criminal record when applying for housing or jobs.
