April 01, 2013 - Regina Police Increase Criminal Record Check Fee Effective immediately the cost for a Police Information Check (PIC) previously known as a Criminal Record Check will be increased by $10 bringing it up to $45. The fee increase is due to the demand for the service, which is often required by employers. In 1997, the Regina Police Service conducted 2,328 PICs, in 2004 it did 11,426 and last year 20,153 were performed. The last two fee increases were April 2007 when the fee increased from $25 to $30 and March 2011 when the fee increased to $35.
