Hungary District Courts - The First Appearance
The District Courts
Most cases are encountered at first instance, at the level of the district courts.
In the countryside, 107 and in Budapest another 6 district courts are adjudicating today in Hungary.
The district courts with jurisdiction in Budapest are called "district courts".
In Budapest, there are a total of 6 joint district courts in the 23 districts (eg Pest Central District Court, Buda Central District Court, etc.).
The district courts act in the first instance, headed by the president.
District courts may form groups with regard to both types of cases in both civil and criminal cases (eg the family law group of the Central District Court of Pest).
