Argentina does not maintain a single, unified public criminal register. Criminal history originates at courts of first instance, where cases are formally charged, tried, and resolved.

What Must Be Searched

Provincial Criminal Courts of First Instance
(Juzgados de Primera Instancia en lo Penal)
Federal Criminal Courts of First Instance
(Juzgados Federales en lo Penal)

What Is NOT Sufficient Alone

Police certificates
Appellate courts
Cassation courts
Supreme Court decisions

Best practice: Search both provincial and federal first-instance courts tied to verified residence history.
